Why Elastomeric membrane?
For over 40 years, elastomeric membrane has been an attractive choice for the low-slope commercial roofing industry.
Elastomeric membrane continues to be an excellent choice for architects, roof consultants and contractors, both for new construction and replacement roof projects.
The biggest test of all building materials is how they perform in real field conditions.
Forty years of empirical experience in field applications have shown that Elastomeric has the longest average life span in the roofing industry.
The advantages of Elastomeric membrane
The elastomeric membrane is an extremely durable synthetic rubber membrane widely used in low-slope buildings in Montreal. Its two main ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas.
The elastomeric is available in black and is sold in a wide variety of widths, from 7.5 feet to 50 feet, and in two thicknesses, 45 and 60 mils.
Elastomeric can be glued, mechanically fixed or weighted, with the joints of the roofing system sealed with liquid adhesives or specially formulated tape.
