Asphalt and gravel, an excellent choice
Asphalt is applied hot, usually in two layers on a felt membrane that insulates it from the roof. It is finished with small white chips to reduce solar radiation that can soften the asphalt.
If it is not possible to cover it with chips (the preferred solution), an appropriate reflective paint can be used.
